Raya Orders

Still out of Oreos. SOB!! Anyway, I just want to let everyone know early that I am not taking orders for the first week of Raya because... well, because it's Raya!! XD

Dear Oreo Truffle lovers....

Unfortunately, Brunei seems to have run out of Oreos!!!! I wonder if this Raya every "biskut dan kek" will be Oreo based as we are experiencing a sudden shortage of Oreos. Boo....

So... I am sad to inform that Oreo Truffles will be temporarily unavailabe until I can get restocked on Oreos. Please, please, please let me know where I can find Oreos. :D

Yes, Pip Pops has FINALLY jumped on the bandwagon! I have a personal Twitter account which I signed up yonks ago when Twitter was pretty much still new. Then , I kinda forgot about it despite the fact that the whole world started tweeting! Why? Because I have NO idea how to work the internet access on my phone! Hahaha! BUTTTT it's ok because I always have internet access from my computer anyway.

On another, even more EXCITING note (and proud mama moment), Pip Pops has gone to Birmingham, UK!! WOOHOO!!! Kash, who is a good friend of mine doing his MA in UK requested a few "surprise me" cupcakes to be sent all the way there (much thanks to his friend Naili who offered to bring them there for him). Despite the sad, sad, smooshed state these surprise Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting arrived in, Kash gave them thumbs up! Which meant A LOT for me because he is JUST SO HARD TO PLEASE!!!! Especially when he's an excellent cook himself. So, I was quite gabra you know. Hehehe.. Thank you Naili and Kash for his kind words. :D

Heyy guys!!!

Wow. I must be crazy to be working in this business at this time of year! Hahaha!! The smell of baking cakes... melted dark chocolate... Aaahhhhh.......... It does make you go ga-ga on an empty stomach. Teehee.. Anyway, someone has been requesting for souffles and I do apologize for its delayed addition to the menu. August has too many babies! Hehehe! I've been quite busy with cupcakes and brownies that I unintentionally have to postpone making souffles - till now!! I felt bad, especially during Puasa, not to give what my customers want.

So, right after making some Cotton Candy Cupcakes, I jumped straight to making souffles! And I am glad I did! :D I'd like everyone to know that I write down every requests and suggestions on new flavours and dishes. Truthfully, there's a massive queue! Please keep them coming and I WILL try to make them for you when the opportunity comes i.e. when I'm not too swamped with orders. :D

it's supposed to be taller, but I ran out of grease-proof paper to create a collar around the ramekin! LOL! What kind of baker runs out of grease-proof paper you ask? This one does! Hehehe!

Now, I'd like to keep my prices reasonable, hence, these Dark Chocolate Souffles will come in souffle cups instead of porcelain ramekins. However, if you feel like being posh (which is a-ok in my book! XD), please let me know early if you'd like your souffles to come in ramekins instead of aluminium pots.

This is how it should look like!

Please also note that souffles are best served as soon as it comes out of the oven. Due to the time period between baking and delivery, the souffles will deflate. Nonetheless, this will not affect the taste.

Ramadhan Kareem...

WOW! I can't believe it's Ramadhan again! Ramadhan Kareem to all my Muslim readers... :D Exactly a year has been since I came back to Brunei for good and it's so wonderful to be with my family especially during the fasting month. I'm sure like most people, Ramadhan is family time. I'm just thinking how I'm going to "taste-test" my cupcakes/brownies when I'm fasting! LOL! Well, I'm hoping that adhering to the recipe will result in consistency. :D

Double Chocolate Brownies

Aaaaaaaah! I am on Cloud Nine! I absolutely loveloveloveeee these brownies, especially the Double Chocolate part. These Brownies are really rich and chocolate-y and I would really recommend that you reheat them for a few seconds before devouring them hehehe! Absolutely gorgeous, especially served right out of the oven!

Fondant and The Simple Guide

Hi All!

In case you missed the post on the Pip Pops Goodies Guide, you can find it on the side bar under the photo slide show and click it. The Pip Pops Goodies guide is basically a much simpler overview of what is available at Pip Pops. You may also choose your own combo of cake and frosting but please email or text me first for a price quotation. :D

I am also thinking of giving you the opportunity to choose the sprinkles and decorations! Let me take the pictures first :D

I know I announced a new pricing system for fondants but after another fondant project, I realized that fondant designing takes time... a very long time, and massive loads of effort, and often carries on into late mornings. I am happy to undertake fondant projects. But I think that setting a fixed price for unlimited fondants puts me at a great disadvantage (my poor aching back and eyebags! Hehehe!). Hence, please note that from now, the price will vary and upon quotation. But don't worry, I always aim to make Pip Pops goodies affordable for everyone! :D

As much as I'd love to offer extremely detailed designs, I am unable to as I am still green at fondant designing. I really don't want to ruin your event by producing ugly yucky looking cupcakes! Hehehe! Hence, I apologize in advance if I have to decline from accepting your order. :D

MUFC

I had a request for MUFC's logo which at first I declined to do because I knew I would do such a horrible botched up job! :S Hehehe! I am always worried about how my cakes and frosting will turn out, and that's the simple part, let alone a detailed fondant work. Yikes! Hehehe!

But I am nonetheless thankful that the client insisted I do it for I learned a lot from the experience. It was a whole new world of fondant creation for me. I think I was actually better than I thought I'd be, though, that doesn't mean it was the best looking MU Devil fondant. LOL!! Thank you 98 for the opportunity. I appreciate the kind words and I hope to hear from you again. :D

Although I am seriously considering withdrawing fondants! Hehehe!

I am so so soooooooo excited!!!! I have decided to give selling at Muqtazza a go. :D I've had mixed reactions with the smaller size and lower price. The Poll is still ongoing, so please take some time to help me with it. :D If you some of you guys really, reaaaaaaaaally want a regular sized cupcake at the original price, I plan to sell both sizes at Muqtazza so you guys have more options. :D

So, starting from today, Pip Pops Cupcakes will be available at Muqtazza daily. There will be one flavor per day, sold at HALF OF THE ORIGINAL PRICE AT A SMALLER SIZE.

Where is Gerai Muqtazza? It is REALLY easy to find. It is right across Masjid Sengkurong. :D You can't miss it. :D
